Artículo en Archdaily de Ethel Baraona:
‘Education in architecture is changing. But not only because some school efforts to approach new ways of design projects, based on deep research in different fields, such as social context, environment and new building technologies.
The Protofactory is an example of the changes in the academic field and its methodologies, and the work of Marta García-Orte and Aaron Tregent at the BIArch -Barcelona Institute of Architecture- represents the necessary approach for the success of this changes.
The project is based on the interaction between local craftsmanship and high technologies and suddenly terms so overused like “sustainability” or “environment” start making sense again.’
